# Plan-Your-Visit Page Checklist

**Purpose:** Claude checks your plan-your-visit page against what a new family needs to see on a phone, then rewrites the parts that miss.

From Big Splash (bigsplash.church). Free to use and share. Change it to fit your church.

## Set it up

1. Add this file to a Claude project. Add church-social-voice.md too if you have it.
2. Paste your page's text, or attach phone screenshots of the page from top to bottom.
3. Ask Claude to check it. Fix what it flags, then open the page on your own phone.

A person on your team checks every fact Claude touches. Claude can't see your parking lot.

## The checklist

Families look you up on their phone before they visit. They want two answers fast: what time church starts, and where the kids go.

### The first screen on a phone, before any scrolling

- [ ] Service times
- [ ] Address with a map link
- [ ] A "Save a seat" button
- [ ] One line on kids, like "Kids check-in is inside on your right."

### Getting there

- [ ] Parking, including any guest spots
- [ ] The door to use, with a photo of it

### Kids

- [ ] Ages and rooms, in plain words
- [ ] Check-in and pickup, step by step
- [ ] A photo of kids check-in
- [ ] Your safety steps for kids (only what's true at your church)

### The Sunday basics

- [ ] The length of the service
- [ ] A line on what to wear
- [ ] The first few minutes after a family walks in

### A welcome from the pastor

- [ ] A short video, or a photo with a few warm lines, so families know a face before they walk in

### The save-a-seat form

Keep it short:

- [ ] Name and cell number
- [ ] Service time
- [ ] Number of people coming
- [ ] Kids' names and ages
- [ ] Permission to text them

### After they tap Save

- [ ] A thank-you screen that says what happens next: "We'll text you Saturday with parking and kids info."
- [ ] A person on your team gets the list and texts each family Saturday

### Phone tests

- [ ] Search "church near me" on your phone. Do you show up?
- [ ] Tap the Website button on your Google listing. Does it open your site?
- [ ] Google shows your Sunday hours, so it doesn't say "Closed."
- [ ] You can find service times and the plan for kids in two taps or fewer.
- [ ] Text the link to a friend who's never visited, and ask what they see first.

## Instructions for Claude

Check the page I give you against the checklist above. Picture a parent who has never been to our church, reading it on a phone.

- Go line by line. Mark each item Pass, Fix or Missing.
- For each Fix or Missing item, write the new line in plain words: 5th-grade reading level, contractions, no em dashes, no hype adverbs.
- Use only facts from the page or from me. If you need a fact, write [ASK]. Don't guess parking or times.
- Then rewrite the first screen (what shows before scrolling on a phone) in 40 words or fewer.
- Flag church insider words and suggest a plain swap.
- Mark any line that speaks for our beliefs with [PASTOR CHECK].

## Prompt to copy

> Here's our plan-your-visit page: [paste text or attach screenshots]. Check it with plan-your-visit-page-checklist.md. Mark each item Pass, Fix or Missing, write each fix in plain words, and rewrite the first screen in 40 words or fewer. Use only our facts. Put [ASK] where you need one.

## Examples

**Part of a check**

> Service times: Pass.

> Door to use: Missing. Add: "Use the glass doors by the guest parking. A greeter will meet you there."

> Kids: Fix. "Children's ministry for ages 0 through 5th" becomes "Kids from babies to 5th grade have their own rooms. Check-in is inside on your right."

**A first screen, before and after**

> Before: Welcome home! We can't wait to meet you. Join us this weekend for worship.

> After: Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30. [Address, with a map link]. Kids check-in is inside on your right. [Save a seat]
